Engineer Rafael García began working in the electronics industry in 1986 for GM in one of their first electrostatic control projects called programmers. At that time, the necessary controls were being developed to keep the electrostatic problems in check Around 17% of immediate failures not counting latent ones. Later, at Eastman Kodak, Rafael helped to control and implement an electrostatic control system for consumer equipment.
In a 30-year career, he has supported and worked for various companies such as GM, Eastman Kodak, GE Medical, Phillips, Dell, RIM, Oracle, Ford, promoting electrostatic discharge control.
He holds a degree in Electronics and Systems Engineering, certified as an ESD Trainer (CET) by IPC / EOS / ESDA, and also has four other licenses as an IPC Master Instructor of which he is an active member having collaborated in standards reviews.
As an active member of the ESDA, he has been a participant of international symposiums in ESD and is also qualified as a plant auditor in the use of measuring equipment by SH & A.
In 2014, Engineer García founded Ampere Training and Certification as a consulting and specialization company in electrostatic control, with a testing laboratory.
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) is the cause of lost between 4 and 6% of the annual gross sales of high technology companies and more than $ 45 billion per year in the global electronics industry.
